Job Description

As a Layout Worker at Metalworks South Africa, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and welding components together to create high-quality structures. This role demands precision and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials and tools ahead of operations to ensure readiness.
• Utilize various welding techniques as per project requirements.
• Assist in larger construction projects as needed.
• Uphold excellent workmanship and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Participate in ongoing training and skills development opportunities.
• Contribute ideas for improving workflow and efficiency.
• Assist in project planning and resource allocation.
• Maintain records of completed jobs and material usage.
• Follow up on any outstanding work items and ensure completion.

Requirements

Education

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent
• Trade Certificate in relevant fields is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of welding and metal fabrication experience

Technical Skills

• Welding Equipment Operation

Languages
