Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will evaluate insurance applications, assess risk factors, and determine policy terms and premiums. You will work closely with agents and clients to ensure all aspects of applications are accurate and comply with company guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze insurance applications to assess risks and premiums.
• Determine policy terms, coverage, and conditions for new or renewal applications.
• Collaborate with agents and clients to clarify underwriting criteria.
• Review medical records, property details, and other assessment materials.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of risk exposure and market trends.
• Document and maintain accurate underwriting files and records.
• Provide recommendations for risk management or loss control measures.
• Assist in resolving client inquiries regarding underwriting decisions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certification (e.g., CPCU, AINS) is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or related field
