Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Supply Chain Manager to oversee our logistics and operations in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to optimize processes for improved efficiency. You will be responsible for developing strategies that enhance productivity and cut costs, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities

• Create metrics to track supply chain performance.
• Implement process improvements to optimize supply operations.
• Address issues and challenges that arise within the supply chain.
• Lead cross-functional teams for supply chain projects.
• Provide training to staff on supply chain processes and technologies.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Business Management, or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain and logistics roles

Technical Skills

• Inventory Control
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Team Collaboration
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP)
• Certified Inventory Optimization Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles: Experience with Lean principles to reduce waste and improve processes.
• Proficiency in a second language: Fluency in Afrikaans or another South African language can be advantageous.
