Job Description

As a Water Operator, your primary responsibility will be to monitor and maintain water treatment and distribution systems. You will ensure that the water supply meets safety standards and is free from contamination while efficiently managing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water treatment equipment.
• Monitor water quality and report discrepancies to management.
• Train and supervise junior staff in operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist in emergency response efforts related to water contamination incidents.
• Participate in the development and updating of operational procedures and documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• National Diploma in Water Care or related field is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment and distribution systems.

Languages

• English: Fluent
