Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Site Reliability Engineer to be part of our dynamic team in Durban. In this role, you will focus on increasing system reliability and performance while leveraging your skills in DevOps and cloud technologies. You will work closely with software engineers and system architects to streamline processes and improve microservices' infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor system health and performance, taking preventive measures as required.
• Design, implement, and manage system scaling and performance solutions.
• Collaborate with software development teams to enhance operational readiness of applications.
• Establish best practices for system reliability, security, and performance.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans and ensure regular testing.
• Conduct post-incident reviews to analyze failures and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to the creation of architectural design documentation.
• Provide insights into new technologies and engineering processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering

Technical Skills

• Terraform

Certifications

• Google Professional DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
