Public Health Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Officer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing health programs and policies that target diverse populations. You will collaborate with local authorities and communities to promote health education and preventive measures.

Responsibilities

• Lead health promotion campaigns in collaboration with local organizations.
• Assess the effectiveness of health programs and make recommendations.
• Facilitate workshops and seminars to educate the public.
• Oversee the distribution of health materials and resources.
• Participate in emergency preparedness planning and response.
• Develop partnerships with stakeholders to enhance program visibility.
• Stay updated on public health best practices and recommendations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Science, or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in community health programs
