We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our team in Mbombela. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in structural design and be responsible for creating safe and efficient structures. You will collaborate with a diverse team on range of exciting projects in both public and private sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative solutions for various structural engineering challenges.
• Review and approve plans for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in technical practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in structural projects

Technical Skills

• MS Project
• Reinforced Concrete Design

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of seismic design principles: Understanding of how to create structures that withstand earthquakes.
• Familiarity with structural testing methods: Experience with testing materials and structures for durability and integrity.
