As a Reagent Tender Helper, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will assist with the preparation and procurement of reagents, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and maintaining optimal stock levels.
Responsibilities
Support the preparation of reagents for experimental use.
Maintain an organized laboratory workspace.
Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies.
Coordinate with procurement for timely reagent deliveries.
Document reagent usage in compliance with laboratory policies.
Assist in training new team members on reagent handling.
Participate in quality control checks of lab materials.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory practices.
Ensure that the laboratory is clean and organized.
Actively engage in safety protocols and hazard assessments.
Requirements
Education
Matric or equivalent
Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field preferred
Experience
Preferably some experience in a laboratory environment.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications
LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
