Job Description

As a Kelp Gatherer, you will play a crucial role in harvesting kelp from the ocean using various methods and tools. Your efforts will contribute directly to sustainable practices in aquaculture, ensuring our products meet industry standards while supporting local ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Utilize specialized equipment to effectively harvest kelp from marine environments.
• Inspect harvested kelp for quality and impurities.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets.
• Implement best practices for sustainability and resource management.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist in documenting best practices in harvesting and processing.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in kelp harvesting or marine work is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Physical fitness
• Swimming proficiency

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Teamwork

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certification
• Boat handling or diving certification (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent
