We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and product development, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will play a key role in the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems, ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Work with the testing team to evaluate product performance.
• Review and approve engineering calculations.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in mechanical design principles.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in product development and mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Thermal Analysis Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in the automotive industry: Previous work or projects in automotive design and development.
• Familiarity with ISO standards: Knowledge of ISO standards related to quality in engineering.
