Job Description

As a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator, you will oversee the operation of the furnace used in the metal refining process. You will ensure that ore is efficiently dried and stored while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the furnace operation tasks to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct routine maintenance on the drying equipment.
• Evaluate ore quality and make adjustments as necessary.
• Train staff on best practices for ore drying and safety protocols.
• Communicate with supply chain to coordinate material flow.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical qualification in mining or mechanical engineering preferred

Experience

• Experience operating and maintaining drying and storage equipment in a mining environment
