Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Motorboat Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for testing and evaluating various boats for safety and functionality, ensuring that our clients are provided with exceptional service and high-performance watercraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on various types of boats.
• Evaluate boat systems, including fuel, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Document and report on the condition of boats and required repairs.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding boat performance and operation.
• Conduct sea trials for boats to assess their performance in real-world conditions.
• Train junior technicians on safety procedures and efficient work practices.
• Ensure that all work complies with environmental and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Technical qualification in marine engineering
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in marine mechanics or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of electronics
• Hydraulic systems knowledge

Soft Skills

• Customer service orientation
• Organizational skills

Certifications

• Marine surveyor certification
• Advanced boat handling certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with different types of boats: Familiarity with both sailboats and motorboats.
• Leadership experience: Experience leading a team or functioning in a supervisory capacity.
