We are seeking a passionate Architect to join our team in Hermanus. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of sustainable design practices and have experience in both residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for leading design initiatives, managing client relations, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative design projects, focusing on functionality and sustainability.
• Engage with clients and communities to communicate design concepts clearly.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to inform design decisions.
• Ensure adherence to building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
• Prepare cost estimates and proposals for potential projects.
• Mentor junior architects and interns, providing guidance and support.
• Participate in community events to promote architectural literacy and engagement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Professional qualifications or certifications in architecture

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in similar roles

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Local Building Codes Knowledge

Languages
