DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our technology team in Johannesburg. The successful applicant will possess extensive experience in managing cloud platforms as well as a deep understanding of CI/CD tools. You’ll be responsible for improving our development cycle and ensuring our applications are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Coordinate with the security team to enhance cyber security protocols.
• Facilitate Agile project methodologies to improve collaboration and outputs.
• Conduct workshops and training for teams on DevOps practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Research and propose new technologies that can enhance systems performance.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge retention.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a similar role
