Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for conducting repairs, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring that all equipment operates smoothly. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure equipment is operational.
• Participate in safety audits and suggest improvements.
• Identify potential issues before they become a problem.
• Provide feedback on equipment performance to management.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Engineering or relevant field
• Trade certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a strong advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role

Technical Skills

• Welding and fabrication experience
• Pneumatic systems knowledge

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• Electrical Safety Certification
• Maintenance Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Project management experience: Experience in managing small maintenance projects.
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS): Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance work.
