Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and securing our information systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, and implementing security measures to safeguard our client’s data. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to identify security risks and work on strategies to mitigate them effectively.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents by investigating and mitigating risks.
• Conduct internal and external security assessments.
• Document security incidents and resolutions for future reference.
• Review and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with external vendors for security tools and services.
• Develop incident response plans and execute drills.
• Advise on security upgrades and strategies within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related field
• Master's degree or other advanced cybersecurity certifications are beneficial

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience

Technical Skills

• Penetration Testing
• Data Loss Prevention

• Problem-solving Ability

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
