Job Description

As an Ophthalmic Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by applying thin coatings to optical components such as lenses and prisms. Your expertise in handling advanced coating techniques will ensure the products meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute thin coating applications on optical elements.
  • Ensure all processes meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Calibrate equipment and perform routine maintenance.
  • Document all processes and results for traceability.
  • Train new team members on operational procedures.
  • Conduct research to improve coating efficacy and efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-training for broader operational knowledge.
  • Report any safety hazards and maintenance needs to management.
  • Actively contribute to team discussions on product improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma in Optics or related field
  • Higher education in a technical field preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years experience in the ophthalmic industry
