Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will oversee the entire supply chain process, ensuring timely delivery and optimal efficiency. You will liaise with suppliers, transportation companies, and internal departments to streamline operations and improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs.
• Collaborate with teams to forecast demand and supply chain needs.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team for efficient loading and unloading.
• Ensure that all shipments are compliant with local and international regulations.
• Train and mentor junior logistics staff.
• Conduct regular evaluations of logistics processes for improvement.
• Manage any discrepancies in shipment and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation or Business Management
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination

Technical Skills

• Logistics Optimization Techniques
• Data Analysis Tools

• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic
