Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing production processes, improving product quality, and driving innovation throughout the manufacturing workflow.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes for efficiency.
• Develop engineering solutions to optimize production schedules.
• Work with suppliers to enhance component quality.
• Utilize CAD software to design manufacturing systems.
• Gather and analyze production metrics to drive decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional projects to improve product design and manufacturability.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in engineering practices.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in manufacturing technology.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
