Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Veterinary Surgeon where your primary focus will be on providing comprehensive care to animals. You'll be expected to perform initial examinations, diagnosis of conditions, surgical interventions, and consultations to educate pet owners about effective health management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals for diagnosis.
  • Perform medical and surgical procedures on a variety of animals.
  • Work closely with pet owners to inform them of treatment options.
  • Keep up with new research and advances in veterinary medicine.
  • Maintain appropriate medical records and communication with clients.
  • Assist in training and guidance for new team members.
  • Ensure that the clinic maintains high standards of cleanliness and care.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) with strong clinical rotations
  • Additional training in exotic and wildlife medicine is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years in clinical veterinary practice focusing on surgery
