We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our dedicated team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in grooming various breeds, ensuring each pet receives personalized care and grooming tailored to their specific needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming tasks such as trimming, nail clipping, and ear cleaning.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are sanitized and maintained.
• Build rapport with pets to ease their grooming experience.
• Educate pet owners about post-grooming care and health tips.
• Collaborate with team members to manage the grooming schedule efficiently.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Further qualification in Animal Care or Grooming is desirable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a professional pet groomer

Technical Skills

• Grooming tools proficiency
• Pet skin and coat care

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with pet first aid: Certification in pet first aid and CPR would be an asset.
• Ability to handle anxious pets: Experience with techniques to calm and comfort anxious animals during grooming.
