Tax Specialist

Job Description

As a Tax Specialist based in Durban, you will utilize your extensive knowledge of the tax landscape to assist clients with their tax obligations. This position is focused on providing exceptional client service, tax return preparation, and compliance advice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive tax documentation and filings for diverse clients.
• Develop strategic tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities.
• Conduct training sessions for clients on effective tax practices.
• Ensure compliance with SARS regulations and ethical tax practices.
• Create and submit tax compliance reports to clients and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain a proactive relationship with clients to anticipate tax issues.
• Perform risk assessments and propose strategies to mitigate potential tax challenges.
• Support internal audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in taxation or related environments

• Tax Software Proficiency

Languages

• English: Fluent
