Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our educators in delivering engaging lessons and supporting student learning. You will be responsible for assisting with classroom management, preparing learning materials, and providing one-on-one assistance to students as needed. This role is vital in enhancing the educational experience and ensuring all students receive the support they need to excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for lessons and assist in lesson delivery.
• Engage students in discussions and group activities to enhance learning.
• Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Support students during assessments and examinations.
• Encourage and motivate students to achieve their best.
• Collaborate with peers on educational projects and initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field preferred

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in a teaching or assistant role

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of the South African Curriculum: Understanding of the educational standards and curriculum in South Africa.
