Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will perform surgeries, diagnose conditions, and provide quality care for animals. If you are passionate about animal welfare and have a surgical background, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct surgical procedures with precision and care to improve animal health.
  • Diagnose medical conditions and recommend appropriate treatments.
  • Implement preventative health care plans for pets.
  • Contribute to research and clinical trials as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment options.
  • Mentor junior staff and interns in best practices.
  • Assist in managing inventory and supplies within the veterinary practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Veterinary Surgery is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in surgery and emergency care
