We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical engineering knowledge with hands-on experience in design and development. You will be involved in innovative projects from conception to completion, contributing to solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the mechanical testing of prototypes.
• Evaluate mechanical design concepts and troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding project updates.
• Assist in cost estimating and budgeting for engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design and development

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping and Testing

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Communication

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on experience with project management tools: Experience in using tools like Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of 3D printing technologies: Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes.
