Medical Research Coordinator

Job Description

Seeking a diligent Medical Research Coordinator to lead clinical studies and coordinate research teams in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for creating study protocols, training research staff, and maintaining accurate records while facilitating communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project timelines and monitor progress.
• Conduct regular audits of research practices and documentation.
• Facilitate the ethical review process and ensure adherence to ethical guidelines.
• Maintain training materials for research staff on protocols and compliance.
• Prepare for and assist during site visits and inspections.
• Liaise with institutional review boards and ethics committees.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status.
• Support grant applications and funding proposals for research projects.
• Conduct participant interviews and surveys as needed.
• Promote awareness of research objectives within the local community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in research management
