Job Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced Architect to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing innovative spaces, managing various projects from concept through completion, and collaborating closely with clients and contractors to ensure design integrity and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead design meetings with clients to gather requirements and feedback.
• Develop comprehensive architectural plans for commercial and residential projects.
• Ensure quality control of all project deliverables.
• Facilitate communication between clients, stakeholders, and the project team.
• Engage in continuous learning to improve design skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree in Urban Design or Architecture is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite
• 3D Modelling Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Client Engagement

Certifications

• SAIA Member (South African Institute of Architects)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in landscape architecture: Familiarity with integrating landscape features into architectural designs.
• Knowledge of building regulations in South Africa: Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements and building codes.
