Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and determine appropriate coverage.
• Assess risk factors to establish premium pricing.
• Prepare and review underwriting files for accuracy.
• Collaborate with agents and brokers for policy issuance.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
• Provide support to claims staff by ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior underwriting staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• Professional certification in underwriting (e.g., CUA, CPCU) is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in the insurance sector
