Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide care and support for patients experiencing mental health issues, utilizing best practices in psychiatric nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' mental and physical health.
• Guide patients through their recovery process by providing emotional and psychological support.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and programs.
• Provide resources and support for family members of patients.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of care practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Further training in mental health nursing is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in psychiatric care or similar setting

Certifications

• Mental Health Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
