Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled General Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Health First Clinic in Johannesburg. In this role, you will provide comprehensive medical care, perform physical examinations, and manage patient health records. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patients' health progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Administer vaccinations and perform routine health screenings.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and health maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists as needed.
• Participate in research activities and contribute to clinical studies.
• Assist with training and mentoring of junior medical staff.
• Provide patient follow-up and manage ongoing treatment plans.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a general practice setting

Certifications

• Primary Care Provider certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Conversational
