Job Description

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will focus on promoting psychological well-being through effective therapy and counseling. Ideal candidates should have experience with various mental health challenges and a passion for helping others towards recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a variety of therapy methods, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, to assist clients.
  • Help clients develop coping strategies for managing mental health challenges.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive client information.
  • Evaluate therapy effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement to clients throughout their recovery process.
  • Stay informed about community mental health resources and services.
  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Social Work or Psychological Counseling
  • Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in mental health counseling
