We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our growing team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical systems and a passion for problem-solving. You will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Support engineering teams during overhaul projects.
• Develop maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
• Engage in continuous improvement processes to enhance system performance.
• Actively participate in safety audits and compliance checks.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical systems management

Technical Skills

• Fluid Mechanics
• Hydraulics

Certifications

• Certified Mechanical Technician (CMT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in SolidWorks: Experience with 3D modeling and design using SolidWorks.
