Job Description

We are currently seeking an Agricultural Equipment Operator to oversee the operation and maintenance of our gin production equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that production meets our high-quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of gin production machinery and equipment.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure the final product meets standards.
• Oversee maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs.
• Follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work with the production team to meet production targets.
• Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues.
• Document production activities and equipment status for reporting.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or distillery operations

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Manufacturing software proficiency (e.g., SAP)
• Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

• Communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in distillery or brewery operations: Knowledge and experience in distilling spirits.
• Familiarity with gin production processes: Understanding of the methods involved in producing gin.
