Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in daily operations, managing inventory, and providing top-notch service to our customers. A strong understanding of medication dispensing and healthcare protocols is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure timely prescription processing.
  • Monitor and evaluate medication storage and safety protocols.
  • Assist in training new staff and interns.
  • Maintain all licensing and regulatory paperwork.
  • Support health screening programs and patient education workshops.
  • Prepare reports on pharmacy operations for managerial review.
  • Conduct patient follow-ups to ensure medication adherence.
  • Manage returns and recalls of medications as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher Education in Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Prior experience in retail pharmacy preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in pharmacy assistance

  • Medication Therapy Management

  • Customer service orientation

Certifications
  • Advanced Pharmacy Technician Certification
