Job Description

As a Machine Feeder and Offbearer, you will play a crucial role in our textile production process. You will be responsible for efficiently removing and replacing full bobbins or spindles on textile machinery to maintain an uninterrupted workflow.

Responsibilities

• Manage the removal and replacement of bobbins efficiently.
• Inspect and clean machinery regularly to ensure high performance.
• Document the usage and condition of machinery and bobbins.
• Support the continuous improvement of operational practices.
• Collaborate with quality control to ensure product standards.
• Participate in safety drills and training as required.
• Assist with inventory management for bobbins and machinery parts.
• Maintain records of production and downtime.
• Engage with team leaders to discuss workflow improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience as a Doffer or in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating textile machinery: Hands-on experience with various types of textile machinery.
