Job Description

As a Translation and Localization Specialist, you'll play a key role in bridging communication gaps across cultures. Based in Durban, you will translate documents, audio, and video content while also assisting in content adaptation for different markets. You must be adept at using translation software and have a background in linguistics or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all translations adhere to company and client quality standards.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure proper formatting of localized content.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in translation and localization.
• Provide feedback on translation tools and processes for improvements.
• Maintain a high level of cultural competence in targeted languages.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
• Master's degree or professional certification in translation is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in translation and localization

Technical Skills

• Translation Software (SDL Trados, MemoQ)
• Language Proficiency in English and at least one other language
• Cultural Awareness

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Time Management

Certifications

• ATA Certification (American Translators Association)
• Certification in Localization Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
