Job Description

The Byproducts Extractor will play a pivotal role in our sustainability efforts, focusing on extracting and processing valuable byproducts from waste. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical processing, alongside a commitment to environmental best practices.

Responsibilities

• Operationalise extraction processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform quality checks and analysis on byproducts to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Document standard operating procedures for all extraction processes.
• Collaborate with the marketing department to promote extracted byproducts.
• Assist in the training of new staff on procedures and safety measures.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements and innovations in waste processing.
• Keep up to date with industry trends related to waste management and byproduct extraction.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and in good working order.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Professional certification in chemical processing or waste management is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in chemical processing or waste management.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in chemical processing methods
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment

Soft Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies: Understanding of process improvement techniques and waste reduction.
• Familiarity with the circular economy: Knowledge of reusing resources and sustainable management practices.
