Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy practice in Cape Town. The successful candidate will have a strong background in animal medicine and a passion for pet care. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and maintaining high standards of care.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage health conditions in animals.
  • Perform routine and emergency surgeries.
  • Work directly with pet owners to answer questions and give advice.
  • Supervise and train veterinary support staff.
  • Conduct regular health checks and vaccinations.
  • Manage clinic inventory and supplies effectively.
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development.
  • Promote a compassionate environment for animals and their owners.
  • Prepare detailed medical reports as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
  • Specialization in Animal Surgery preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in veterinary practice
