Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Youth Worker to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will work directly with young people, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them navigate life's challenges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead workshops aimed at skill development for youth.
• Establish trusting relationships with youth to foster open communication.
• Identify challenges faced by youth and work on effective solutions.
• Collaborate with local schools and organizations for resource sharing.
• Advocate for youth needs within the community.
• Prepare and submit reports on youth program effectiveness.
• Engage with parents and guardians to foster a supportive home environment.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Psychology or related field is preferred
• Additional qualifications in social services are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in youth work or social services

• Child Protection Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sotho: Proficient
