Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Social Worker to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will work closely with diverse communities, providing support and resources to enhance quality of life. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to advocating for individuals in need.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate clients' situations and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Support clients through crises by providing immediate interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to secure social services and benefits.
  • Educate clients and families about available resources and services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care.
  • Promote community-based resources and programs.
  • Stay updated on social policy changes affecting client services.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Social Work preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years in direct social work practice
