Job Description

We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing various construction projects. Your role will require effective teamwork and communication skills to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Assess project risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to clients.
  • Ensure all engineering practices are in line with the company’s standards.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and provide selection recommendations.
  • Participate in community meetings regarding project updates.
  • Train and mentor junior engineering staff as required.
  • Maintain documentation of all project-related activities.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and local authorities.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a civil engineering environment
Technical Skills
  • Civil 3D
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

  • Experience in project management software: Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Asana.
