Job Description

As an Accountant in Cape Town, you will play a vital role in maintaining and preparing financial records for our clients. Your expertise will ensure accurate accounting and compliance with South African regulations. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounting software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial transactions and ensure they are recorded accurately.
  • Develop financial reports and present findings to management.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist clients with financial planning and investment strategies.
  • Monitor financial compliance and identify discrepancies.
  • Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
  • Participate in special projects related to finance and accounting.
  • Research and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients through effective communication.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is preferable
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
