Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hoisting Laborer to operate lifting equipment and assist in various construction tasks. This position offers a chance to develop your skills within a thriving construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and other lifting devices safely and efficiently.
• Perform regular inspections on hoisting equipment and report defects.
• Assist in rigging loads and ensuring proper load distribution.
• Cooperate with subcontractors and other site personnel.
• Adhere to all regulatory guidelines for hoisting operations.
• Engage in continuous learning to improve operational skills.
• Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage and maintenance performed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in training new staff on equipment operation.
• Support on-site project managers with logistical tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent qualification

Experience

• Experience in the construction industry is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Hoisting Equipment Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Rigging Certification (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Other Construction Equipment: Ability to operate diggers or forklifts is a plus.
• General Maintenance Skills: Experience in maintenance works on construction equipment.
