Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Counsellor to join our growing team in Johannesburg. This role involves working closely with clients to assess their mental health needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide professional therapeutic support to enhance their wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead therapeutic sessions focusing on developing clients' emotional skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Counsel clients on lifestyle changes to improve mental health.
  • Conduct intake assessments and prepare initial treatment plans.
  • Document all client interactions in accordance with ethical standards.
  • Connect clients with community resources as appropriate.
  • Engage in regular professional training to stay current with best practices.
  • -liaise with family members to ensure supportive environments for clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Social Work
  • Licensure in counselling is highly preferred.
Experience
  • 3+ years working in a clinical setting.

Certifications
