Silo Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Silo Operator to take charge of silo operations including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of grain and other agricultural products. The ideal candidate will exhibit robust skills in equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation of silo equipment and manage day-to-day activities.
• Conduct quality checks on stored products and maintain cleanliness.
• Troubleshoot any operational issues with machinery and equipment.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff on silo operations.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate product shipment.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding safety.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant technical qualification in agricultural operations is preferred

Experience

• Experience in agricultural operations preferred.

Technical Skills

• Experience with grain handling equipment
• Knowledge of safety regulations

Soft Skills

• Team player
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory management systems: Ability to navigate and utilize inventory management software.
• Knowledge of grain quality standards: Understanding of the standards for different types of grains.
