Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Veterinarian to join our team in Cape Town. You will provide high-quality care for various animal species, diagnosing and treating ailments, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners on animal health.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to diagnose health issues.
• Administer treatments and maintain health records.
• Work with the clinic team to enhance patient care.
• Engage with the community through health programs.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff.
• Stay updated on veterinary advancements and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in clinical practice

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical knowledge
• Anesthesia management

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time management

Certifications

• Veterinary Practice Management Certification
• Animal Welfare Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with animal behaviour: Knowledge of animal behaviour and training is a plus.
• Advanced ultrasound skills: Experience with ultrasound technology in veterinary practice.
