Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer to join our Durban facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in process design and optimization, as well as knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes. Responsibilities

• Design and optimize chemical manufacturing processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects and initiatives.
• Ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and regulations.
• Analyze process data to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Facilitate the implementation of new technologies in manufacturing.
• Lead project teams in engineering design and project execution.
• Develop maintenance plans for equipment and processes.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on new procedures.
• Assess environmental impact and implement waste reduction strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for management review.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline
• Professional engineering certification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry
