Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and a passion for sustainable design.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure projects meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers on integrated project designs.
• Manage project timelines, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Evaluate the environmental impacts of projects and implement sustainable practices.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to junior engineers and interns.
• Review and approve project plans and construction documents.
• Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with design specifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in infrastructure projects
