Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and management of various civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet all safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design projects from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure project specifications are met.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and plans.
• Monitor project progress and advise on solutions as necessary.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare budgets and cost estimates for projects.
• Present project updates to senior management.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure all projects comply with local building codes and regulations.
• Engage in continuous learning and stay abreast of industry trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with specific experience in road and infrastructure projects.
