Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Psychologist to join our team at Mental Wellness Clinic. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based therapy to individuals dealing with a variety of mental health issues. The role involves client assessments, therapy sessions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess the mental health needs of clients through interviews and testing.
• Create tailored therapy plans to meet client needs.
• Implement therapy sessions, both individual and group.
• Organize therapeutic workshops focusing on skill development.
• Review the impact of interventions and revise as necessary.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss client care.
• Keep thorough records of client interactions and treatment outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Psychology is preferred
• Registered with HPCSA

Experience

• Experience in community mental health settings is advantageous

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Trauma-Informed Care

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Interpersonal Skills

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Psychometric Testing: Experience in administering and interpreting psychometric tests.
• Knowledge in Substance Abuse Counseling: Experience working with clients dealing with substance abuse issues.
